FAQs

What do you treat?

I have years of experience treating adults and adolescents with anxiety, depression, and related symptoms (such as perfectionism, burnout, negative self image/talk, motivation issues, and challenges with life transitions). I also have an interest in helping mothers and fathers navigate the internal challenges that come along with parenting.

What is psychodynamic psychotherapy?

Psychodynamic psychotherapy is an insight-oriented type of talk therapy that aims to help people develop an understanding of themselves and their emotions. Sessions are unstructured and based in socratic questioning rather than didactic methods. I am also trained in other methods such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Reflective Parenting, and MAP (Managing and Adapting Practice) should you desire a hybrid approach to treatment.

Do you take insurance?

At this time, I am not a provider covered by insurance. However, as an out-of-network provider, I am able to provide a superbill for you to submit to insurance.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

I believe that therapy should be for everybody, and I am happy to work with you to find a way to make therapy possible. If I am unable to provide services, I will help connect you with a provider who can.

Where is your office?

My office is located in West Los Angeles at 1849 Sawtelle Blvd Suite 610, Los Angeles, CA 90025. Depending on location and circumstance, I am also available to meet in person in a third-party location (ex. home visits, in a park, etc.).

If you prefer virtual services, I offer telehealth sessions through a HIPPA-compliant platform.

What should I expect during my first session?

Congrats on starting therapy! Prior to your first session, you will receive a variety of documents that you will need to fill out before starting. A link will be sent to you and all documents will be available in your online portal. During the first session we will get to know one another, discuss treatment goals, and develop a plan for treatment.
